Cardboard Box Road Maps

When all the fun has been exhausted from your cardboard boxes and the sides ripped from all the climbing in and out, flatten out the box and draw some roads for the toy cars to drive on.  Add some play houses to drive up to for more imaginative play.  Creating the road map is usually the most fun.

  1. What a great idea! Our cardboard boxes get used a million times over, but this is a great way to give them one last life once they're flat! I'm sharing this on my PreschoolPowolPackets Facebook page!

  2. This is wonderful for my friend's kindergarten class. They are about to begin to study maps! Awesome! I also would like to repost this on my blog...no worries...all the credit is yours!! :)

  3. That is what is so great about this activity - the more beat up the box the better because it lays flat. I usually draw the roads and then the kids draw the rest just to keep them "passable".
